There are a number of reasons that outdoor furniture ends up costing much money. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that it just costs more to make furniture that can survive long-term outdoors. Things can cost more because of the designer or the brand, but ultimately, it comes down to construction and materials.
Metal
In order for metal furniture to last outdoors, it needs to be aluminum that is effectively powder-coated (which is essentially just a paint layer that is heat-fused to the surface of the metal). Aluminum ensures that the metal won’t rust while exposed to the elements, while the powder-coating will add a protective layer in addition to reducing the chance of colors fading over time due to sun exposure. Some people prefer powder-coated steel, but it does need to be brought indoors or covered during inclement weather if you want it to last.
There are 2 very good powder coating brands :
1. AkzoNobel Interpon
2. Tiger Drylac

Wood
A few kinds of woods can work well with outdoor furniture, but most is made of teak because it responds really well to moisture. Any wooden outdoor furniture also needs to be slatted, which will add to the cost of manufacturing if it’s being constructed well. Depending on where it comes from, teak can also be expensive to source.
The Burma teak is known for best material for outdoor teak wood furniture.

Resin
Any resin furniture that goes outdoors that’s expensive likely costs more because it is manufactured to withstand UV rays and avoid color fading over time. This usually has to do with the way the resin is made and molded. What is more, UV additives need to be added to its raw materials to ensure its UV-resistant outdoor performances.

Cushions/Upholstery
The price of outdoor furniture with cushions increases for a few reasons. The first is the cushion that is used. Standard fills can’t be used because they can’t properly drain liquid, which results in mold. An alternative, more porous cushion that is capable of draining liquid and drying effectively is required. For the fabric itself, it needs to be able to withstand the elements, sun exposure, and to properly ventilate. If you want that outdoor-use fabric to be soft, the price goes up substantially.
The well known fabric brands are:
2.Axroma
